Thank you for visiting me here on A Coupon Chick!  I’m glad you stopped by!

I have been married since 1996 to my best friend.  I’m mom to two wonderful girls.  I’m a Christian and am so grateful to God for my many blessings!

I began A Coupon Chick in May 2009.  My husband had lost his job in October 2008 and overnight, we became a ZERO-income family.  With a mortgage and bills, this was very scary.  I found that the fastest way to cut our expenses was my grocery spending.

I did a lot of research and quickly learned that by using coupons and matching those with store deals and sales, I could cut our bill drastically.  My first venture out, I saved 50% on our food bill.  Prior to my husband’s layoff, we were easily spending $800 per month on food!  Within a few months, I was paying about $50 per week!

I loved how fast I saw the results of a little bit of work and my friends were asking how I was doing this – so I began A Coupon Chick.   I want to share my savings ideas, coupons, deals and freebies with all of you!

We have since been blessed with many opportunities.  My husband has a wonderful job and our family is doing well – and I’ll never pay full price for groceries again!
